Markham-Thornhill is an area from Bayview Avenue all the way to the Rouge River to the East, and bordered by Steeles Avenue to the South and Highway 407 to the North.

Around 100,000 Canadian residents are living in this area. It is one of the most important and most populated area in the City of Markham and York Region.
Visible minorities are the major residents of this area, Tamil, Chinese, Hong Kongers, and South Asian friends can be found actively involved in the community. Markham-Thornhill shows its diversity, different cultures, histories, and traditions in many areas.
